Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor and member of SSC's board since 2011 is the founding co-artistic director for the newly established theater company Speech of Fire. She worked as the Artistic director for Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 until 2019. As Artistic Director for SSC She was also SSC's music director/composer and the company's text instructor. Although she usually led from within the acting ensemble in her last year she began her career as a director (and lighting designer) as part of the company's King Lear. She's appeared on a variety of other shows in addition to acting. The daughter of the scientist Richard F. Post and his wife, poet Marylee Post was raised in Walnut Creek and Stanford alongside her siblings. Las Lomas High School is where she went to school and was involved in cheerleading. She went to Pomona College for a short time before graduating from Lewis & Clark College, both of which are located in Oregon. Post had been married before to Stephen Knox. Michael A. Ross is her husband from 1982. The couple has two daughters. Post's work as an actress, wife and mother provides a fantastic example for Hollywood.
